OUR VERY DISTINGUISHED PANEL OF JUDGESWe're happy and honored to have the following internationally renowned filmmakers review Cinematic CD Film2Music Competition entries (click on their names for their IMDb pages). The combined votes of the members of this panel will determine the Grand Prize Winner ($10,000) and the two Second Prize winners ($1,000 each) The judges will review entries after the submission deadline on Nov 1, 2006. MICHAEL POLISH - One of the most original and inventive writer/directors of his generation, Michael and his brother Mark burst onto the scene in 1999 with Twin Falls, Idaho, followed by the visually opulent 2003 opus Northfork, starring James Woods, Nick Nolte and Daryl Hannah. The brothers are currently wrapping up Warner Bros' The Astronaut Farmer with Virginia Madsen, Bruce Willis and Billy Bob Thornton. CLARK PETERSON - Producer of the Academy Award-winning Monster starring Charlize Theron, Clark has produced numerous feature films and television movies. He began his career working for producer Roger Corman and later joined the Walt Disney Studios as an executive for several years. Other producer credits include Damon Wayans' Behind the Smile and audience-favorite comedy-docu My Date with Drew with Drew Barrymore. JACKIE GEORGE - An industry veteran since the mid-eighties, Jackie has co-produced such blockbusters as Demolition Man and Richie Rich, as well as numerous TV movies for ABC, Disney, etc. She is a 2005 recipient of the Humanitas Prize for Searching for David's Heart, which also received a Director's Guild of America nomination. HART - A highly experienced producer of outstanding television, James started out working with Steven Bochco on Hill Street Blues. Since then he produced some of network television's most memorable series, including Chicago Hope (together with David Kelley) and CSI. (Click here to see a brief video statement by Jim on the competition.) M. DAVID MULLEN, ASC - Nominated twice for the IFP Independent Spirit Award for Best Cinematography, cinematographer M. David Mullen has photographed more than thirty independent feature films. His most recent theatrical release was Akeelah and the Bee for Lions Gate. His fourth feature for the Polish Brothers, The Astronaut Farmer, will be released by Warner Brothers later this year. DAVE BOSSERT - Walt Disney Animation's Creative Director for Special Projects, animator and producer Dave Bossert has worked on almost all of Disney's animated features since The Little Mermaid. Dave was artistic supervisor for the stunning Fantasia 2000, and currently also serves as Artistic Supervisor for Restorations.
